This delicious Ayurvedic recipe is perfect as a light breakfast, midday snack, or wholesome dessert. Naturally sweet, easy to digest, and satisfying to the senses, it’s suitable for all constitutions (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) — especially in spring and summer.
You can also substitute peaches with other seasonal fruits like apples, pears, nectarines, or plums depending on availability and your dosha.

Ayurveda Baked Peaches Recipe
✨ Ingredients

6–8 ripe peaches, halved and pitted

1/4 tsp ground clove

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract (or 1/4 tsp fresh vanilla)

2 tsp muscovado sugar or raw cane sugar (optional)

1 cup water
Method

Preheat oven to 165°C (330°F).

Wash the peaches thoroughly, slice in half, and remove the pits.

In a bowl, mix the spices, sugar, and vanilla with 1 cup of water.

Arrange the peaches cut side up in an oven-safe baking dish or Le Creuset-style pot.

Pour the spiced mixture evenly over the peaches.

Cover the dish with a lid or foil and bake for 1 hour, or until soft and fragrant.

Allow to cool slightly before serving.
